I took my first picture at six with a ‘Kodak Instamatic 155x’ and remember it clearly. It was the day my brother was born and it was the last shot in the film and I begged my dad to let me take one of him. I took that camera everywhere and that was it, I was hooked and have never been without a camera since.
My love for photography took a serious turn when I purchased my first SLR and some good lenses. I was excited by all the possibilities and didn’t surface for days. I had a plan. Over the course of a few months, I took to photographing people at every opportunity and steadily developed a portfolio.
A friend of mine saw some of these pictures and invited me to a studio to do an editorial test shoot for a magazine. This was a great experience. As a result of that test shoot I was offered the position of an editorial photographer on the magazine and I gladly accepted.
